Trixstir and I got home around 2:30am after the most successful night ever at Wildhorse Bowling!
How successful? A profit in excess of $1200 for the night, thanks to a Christmas party by one of our large corporate customers. The tally at the end of the night was just under $2k, then subtract the taxes we have to pay, and the cash we invested in liquor for the night, and you're left with a very handsome profit! I wish we could have nights like this on a more regular basic. Yes, it was chaotic at times and yes we didn't get home until 2:30am, but with that kind of ca$h rolling in, I can roll with it! :)
The only downside was a malfunction with the automatic deep-fryer. We were trying to make some French-Fries to give to our rather liquored-up guests, and there was a sudden roar from the machine and boiling oil came spewing out of the various vent holes along the base! My best guess is that there must have been a chunk of ice of something hidden in the fries (though I'm usually very careful to watch for that sort of thing) that would have set off the reaction. It made a heckuva mess, but nothing devastating, thankfully. :/
