Okay. So there were a ton of issues with the last three weeks of my medical terminology class. So I'm reading "Treasure" by Clive Cussler. I'm still on the fence about his writing. He starts with one purpose for his main character, Dirk Pitt, but then forces him to pursue something else, finally arriving back at the original goal right at the end. Kind of annoying ( Read more... )

Mom and I went to the movies yesterday - in the serious rain - to see Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. We went 45 minutes before the showtime to make sure we'd get good seats. But, due to the weather, the theater ended up to be mostly empty. Maybe 15 people in ( Read more... )

It seems I went a little book crazy. I got a call from the library today telling me that two of the three books I requested have arrived. This is on top of the two I have out currently. So here's what happened on Wednesday: Mom got up early and called the car loan people (FYI: CapitalOne finance are BASTARDS). They told her that she'd owe them approx. $1500 to get the car back, plus whatever fees the place holding the car would have. Mom broke down sobbing, explaining that she had only about half of that.
