This past weekend was my annual beach trip with my women's group. We had a lovely house on Folley Beach. There were 10 of us this year. I arrived Friday evening and left Sunday evening. Eldred has done a great job this week of putting away almost all of the Pennsic stuff. I haven't been too much help other than doing laundry. We are finally almost at the end of the laundry pile after at least a dozen loads. My week has been full of catching up and meetings. This morning I awoke to a world shrouded in grey. I decided to take the slightly longer way to work that goes on the four-lane highway for more of the trip than my usual way. dragonazure called yesterday afternoon to say he would be near the library after work and suggesting that we go out to dinner. We settled on Frodo's pizza. It was yummy, but I am suffering somewhat from it today!

Back in the late 80's I purchased a video tape of The Sorceress and the Friar. It was a fascinating look at the conflict that resulted when a 13th century Dominican friar looking for heresy arrived in a small French village and met a forest woman who cures the locals with potions and herbs.
