Arrived in Brighton at around three after doing a mystery shop in Eastbourne.

We had steak pie and veg for dinner followed by naughty scoops of chocolate ice cream That was delicious.

Feeling quite tired now , so I might flake out soon.

Yes, it was a good birthday. One of the best for a while.

The breakfast at Spoons this morning was great.

I did not bother doing any work today and caught the bus to Sittingbourne. I net Ewart in Donna's Ale House. I gave him a couple of CDs and he bought me a few pints. Now that he has his hearing aid sorted out we discussed an astonishing range of topics from politics to culture, art to misoc, science to philosophy, and more.

Well folks, I don’t know how your two days of Xmas went but mine was quiet and yet enjoyable. I was going to have a curry on the day itself but yesterday Annie who lives above me came to the rescue and cooked a delicious Xmas Day roast with all the trimmings. Well, another change in the weather. Much sunnier and milder today.
I popped into town to get some food wine and beer.
I had a small snack for lunch but dinner was delicious fresh salmon with mashed potato and peas. Washed down with white wine of course.

Well, it sure was a scorcher today. Up to 35 C and not much less than that in the shade. However, there was a cool breeze which tempered the excessive heat except for the sun trap near the library. I popped into town you see to sell some books and then go across the Swale to do another supermarket cafe visit at Queenborough.

It turned out to be a lovely sunny day. I completed three visists, starting in Maidstone, and then in Hempstead Valley, and finally here in Waldeslade area of Medway. I am doing one of my drink only visits. A pint of IPA and a glass of red vino!

At least I had no truculent recalcitrant obdurate jobsworth to deal with today. In fact, I had a pleasant time completing the last two pub food visits in Sittingbourne.
