Minor league baseball = Love. Especially at Low A. You forget how young these kids are, until they get bored and need ways to amuse themselves. I think this display tops the "Bull Durham slides" we saw during a rain delay at Single-A St. Lucie.

I think MFF will join me in wishing a happy future to Mike Piazza, who officially announced his retirement today. Dodger, Met, classy guy, team leader, always played full-out, always great to watch. Mike retires with 427 home runs, and is assured of making the Hall of Fame on the first ballot. But we miss him.

Don't you love when you get an unexpected package delivered by UPS and it is three autographed baseballs your brother sent for your kids? (For my kids? What's up with that?) I love that I can love my team. Any of you who are sports fans know what I'm talking about. You always root for your team, but it's an extra bonus if they're a really likeable group of characters.
