Just got another rejection in the mail (well, the e-mail) yesterday, from a job I applied for back in June, at the Circus World museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin. According to this letter, they had 46 people apply, 16 of them professional archivists, for this job at a relatively small museum in a relatively small town. Scary, scary stuff folks. I just called the super-double-secret city where I applied for the job about half an hour ago. Their human resources department representative was very friendly. Got the last of the teeth drilling done this morning. It wasn't anywhere near as miserable as the last week's installment. The dentist is very nice, and despite my ranting over the pain last week, he has been very gentle. I'm trying to talk my husband (who has a 4-can-of Mt. I will state for the record that I loathe cropped pants. This is because my legs are, on average, about 6 inches shorter than the average person's (and about 14 inches shorter than the average model's) and so what are cropped pants for normal people actually are about 1"-2" shy of full length pants on me.
