I just called the super-double-secret city where I applied for the job about half an hour ago. Their human resources department representative was very friendly. She told me that the lady who was reviewing the applications was out of the office until Monday, but that they are currently in the process of reviewing apps for the position I am hoping for. Unfortunately, she couldn't give me a time frame for when they would be calling for interviews. But she did offer (without my asking) to re-print out my electronically submitted stuff and leave it, with a note that I had called and expressed additional interest, on top of the relevant person's inbox. She was super nice, and I made sure that I thanked her sincerely for her help.

So everyone send me good luck vibes next week...
