Egads...
Just got another rejection in the mail (well, the e-mail) yesterday, from a job I applied for back in June, at the Circus World museum in Baraboo, Wisconsin. According to this letter, they had 46 people apply, 16 of them professional archivists, for this job at a relatively small museum in a relatively small town. Scary, scary stuff folks. At least for me. But then again it could be worse: I hear that a local library position that opened up at Ivy Tech had something like 85 applicants.
At any rate, just had to throw that out there, because I was pretty appalled when I heard how many people went after that little job.
I am drowning in my own phlegm right now, so I am going to go dope up on more antihistamines and drink lots and lots of vitamin-C-bearing juice. :P Colds are wussy, but they suck anyway.
