We went to the open studio today where my MIL was selling her stuff. It's a whole building of artists. A few of them were fiber artists, knitters and weavers. Ryther spotted some hand made wool slippers for a very reasonable price, and I just happened to be on a search for slippers that were not too hot, and comfortable... so there you go. ug... a half a million chanels and I have no clue how to find anything. Somewhere there is Netflix, but since the kid took the Wii out, I have no idea how to access it. I could try to find a DVD, maybe that's what I'll do. I think I still know how to do that.

Well, after some prodding by dad, he finally sent me a FB message. He's doing good, made some friends. I have no idea how things are going really, if he's making to classes or not, showering or not, or if he'll do any laundry this weekend. Wow, it's nearing the end of August. Himself will be going to college in a week and 2 days and the days are getting shorter. But what a fantastic summer it has been, at least in the enjoyably aspect. It's just been so damned NICE out. Dry, yes.. but nice. I don't expect to see a summer like this for a while. Probably pay the piper 10 fold next year ( Read more... )
