My former Sister in law posted today that her cancer is back and it's terminal. I'm not close to her, and she is not my favorite person, but if this isnt drama, then I feel bad for her. With one winter storm behind us, another barrels down, having gone from 2-4 inches to now a threatened 18 inches of snow and blizzard conditions. Last Friday's storm left about 6 inches of heavy wet snow, but with a warm weekend at least the roads were cleared quickly. Now we have more...

Ryther's company party, which was going to have abou 24 attendees, what whittled down to a brave group of 9 from the snowstorm that crippled DC yesterday. Luckily we only got about 4-5 inches here, but further south got more, and a number of poeple who tried to make it turned around or just cancleled outright. So when I got the diagnosis for divaticulosis, the woman gave me info about making sure I ate fiber. And we talked a bit about how my grandmother who had the same thing was so paranoid about what she ate. Seemed like things had changed in that regard. The good news is, that the rectal probe didn't really find anything serious. Well, hopefully not serious. I have a bit of stuff going off for a biopsy, but they didn't seem concerened. The thermometer sits at 4 degrees at the moment. Bound to go further down. I had a poor bird on my feeder first thing this morning in the still dark hours. I honestly thought the poor thing was frozen to the bar. He looked so pitiful, but I did see he was eating. Then after ten minutes I thought maybe his feet were frozen to the metal. I took a bunch of stuff to the Salvation Army today. I've been segregating stuff in the cellar for while and the weather was nice and I need the space desperately. While I was sorting I uncovered a box of craft stuff I hadn't opened in at least 5 years and I'm thinking "if I haven't used it in that long, I never will".
