With one winter storm behind us, another barrels down, having gone from 2-4 inches to now a threatened 18 inches of snow and blizzard conditions. Last Friday's storm left about 6 inches of heavy wet snow, but with a warm weekend at least the roads were cleared quickly. Now we have more...
I got a call for a funeral on Friday during the storm. They wanted it for Monday. After looking at where it was supposed to go, I said no, it's going in the tomb. And that was before this blow up in snow ammounts. Then a few hours later I get another call, this for a Tuesday funeral. So I figured I'd give that one a try, as it was on a flat section. Spend all day yesterday clearing it with the snow blower, getting the tomb ready for the one going in there, and then cutting up part of a huge cherry tree that fell over, roots and all. I had planned to do the dig Mon, the interment in the tomb, and get more of the tree down. Now it's looking like all I can do is get the hole dug and try to keep the road open for the hurse at 11.. then get the hell out of Dodge.
I went in this morning to do some more shoveling, and put the chains on the dump truck as we are going to have to use that to move the boards and the device.. my pickup truck wont move in snow. I'm going to leave a pile by the grave so I have one less thing to worry about clearing and we will just have to fill in at our leisure. Hopeing Tuesday is not blizzard conditions.
Friday was also my CAT scan. Which went pretty well. Asside from having to drink the drink over 2 hours. The scan itself was quick and the doctor sent me my results in 2 hours. They found nothing. YAY! And at the same time, WTF? So now I'm going to see how I feel for a bit, maybe see a gynocologist to try to see what the hell the reason for some of my issues is. But at least it's not cancer. I'm hoping my anxiety level will go down now that I know that. I'm sure worry is half my problem? I'm sure it doesn't help.
Today was our annual Superbowl not Superbowl party... Its nice to get together, though it would be nicer to just relax and not have to worry about things. I think. the idea of just ordering pizza for next year sounds like a fantastic idea. Maybe make a few desserts and that's it. We were under a bit of a time constraint because of the Queen Bee and her boyfriend. They both rely on the Ride, which is public transportation for people with handicaps of some sort. She is legally blind and he is in a wheelchair. They arrived at our house a bit early, but it worked out okay and we got back here for the pick up ride home with 5 minutes to spare. Perfect timing.
And so it goes.
