Last night Casey and I went to a Girl Scout skating event. It was fun, even though I had issues. The first pair of skates I got was brand new and hurt like hell, so I switched them out for some old ones. One of those had a screw missing. Casey and I had a good time at the skating rink last night. It was a little scary though because it was so crowded. And the people ranged from tiny kids who barely moved on their skates to serious speed skaters. I'm kind of jonesing a soda right now, but all I have in the fridge are the kind with caffeine, and I'm trying to behave and follow the "no caffeine after 3" rule. I don't watch the news for a very specific reason. I don't like to hear about the bad stuff. I like to stick my head in the sand and pretend all is well. I don't want to know about lost puppies, sad children or people going hungry. But you can't avoid the coverage of the disasters of this week. For anyone who didn't see the replies to my last entry, I ended up having Casey write letters of apology to the school and to the police for what she put them through, and she hand delivered them to the school today.
