Lots! Rode a commercial domestic flight in the Philippines, traveled with my BFFs on a plane ride, went to Canada, flew out to places I've never been to before all by myself, and dated (yes, I am a very late bloomer).

What an eventful week! Let's start with the best one-the John Mayer concert, of course!

I know I previously said that I wasn't that excited, but while waiting with my dear friend Myra in the pouring rain, that was when it sank in that I was finally seeing and hearing John Mayer in the flesh.

Forever 21 just opened its first store in the Philippines. I'm not interested, and it's not just because of the long lines (30 minutes to enter, and an hour to pay). Their stuff's relatively cheap, all right, but a lot of them also look and feel it, so I really have to see a lot of the clothes myself before buying...although I once got a pair of ( Read more... )

Weekend getaway. Mes amies and I are off to Cebu, an hour-long flight from Manila, tomorrow. This is where Anthony Bourdain had "the best pig ever". Now, it was originally supposed to be a beach trip, because deliriousoracle said she missed the beach, after being stuck in L.A. for several years. Had a blast with Therese, Tabby, and Myra at Bellini's. I did feel compelled to order the "Obama cake" that was listed on the menu.

It was lovely to see Ala last night, and I'm so envious I just missed Jericho Rosales by minutes. Haha. The group that wasn't planning to head to the bar instead spent the remainder of Friday night deep frying desserts that weren't designed to be deep fried in the first place.
