Defeated by Obama cake
Had a blast with Therese, Tabby, and Myra at Bellini's. I did feel compelled to order the "Obama cake" that was listed on the menu.

The Obama cake was a chocolate cake with a baked meringue topping. I didn't bother asking why exactly they called it "Obama cake", but I just assume it was in honor of his win. The other cakes on the dessert platter were an orange cake and a lemon cake.

Later, we popped into a vegetarian café after we saw a blended drink of milk, rum, and coffee, known as GaTaCa (gatas, Tanduay, kape)
Now, I've been trying to not use my credit card this month, so I can curb avoidable purchases. But since we were at the shoe expo, I did end up with a new pair of shoes, on sale. I decided I might as well get a pair of flats, since my legs and feet are getting defeated by kickboxing. I don't really want to wear flip-flops to work every day.
Later, I was also defeated by a purple sports bra at Nike. =( It's the first time in quite a while that I found a sports bra in a style and color that I really liked. But I held my promise of not using my credit card by going out to an ATM and still paying in cash instead. Wah.
I was near tears, though, when I saw pretty pretty running shoes in black and purple. =( They'll have to wait until April. I hope they'll still have nice styles by then.

I swear it's purple. Perhaps more of indigo?
Earlier in the morning, I made banana pancakes, using this recipe! Yes, they were all sorts of yummy.
Used real maple syrup, of course

Have: To do push-ups
Adore: Taylor Hicks. I will love his voice, always forever. I missed hearing his speaking voice in interviews. Even his speaking voice sounds musical.
