Le ciel est vide, sans imagination

- I had promised to my friends yesterday that I will curb my spending as my New Year's resolution.... But my relatives in Cebu just called me to say that they had just bought the acoustic guitar that I had asked for. Hee!

Cebu is well-known for their guitars, and a guitar with the specs I want isn't available in Manila. It'll actually turn out a lot cheaper than if I had bought an equally good guitar in Manila, but it wasn't exactly small change.

So, my dad and I are going to pick my cousin up at the airport tonight, so I can get my guitar already. It's the least I could do, as I am asking my cousin to lug over a guitar.

- So, even if my friends push through with NYC this year, I'm inclined to pass. I guess my aunt's sermons while I was in L.A. did get to me. Heck, I'm the one talking my dad out of buying a new car and going to L.A. in the summer. Come on, let my bank account recuperate! Please?

- I miraculously did not drink all too much during Cori and Raymz's wedding and on New Year's. What gives?

- It did not help that I kind of blew a lot of money yesterday. I had my college diploma and Spring Awakening poster framed, so they could decorate my newly painted and newly rearranged room. Who the hell knew framing would cost so much? ^^;;;;;

Notice that I didn't have my grade school or high school diploma framed. Meh. I don't really care.

On top of that, I also bought a new guitar capo (again, who knew that it would cost so much), Buzz! Quiz TV for the PS3, and an HDMI cable so I can enjoy high definition on my LCD TV. Needless to say, it's gorgeous. <3 I've also been pwning the rest of my family on Buzz, as I always do in trivia games.

Thanks, Therese! All the pics below, I grabbed from her.

Cori and Raymz's wedding

Me, Jenn, Sara, Mel, Therese. Autumn colors were the motif.

Dave's back from the U.S.! <3 I love that part of his agenda here is to revisit some of our old college hangouts.

Therese and the newlyweds

Last lunch with Kylie =(

Focaccia with roasted garlic. Soooooo good.

Arancini, or "risotto balls" as they were known on the menu. Not really authentically Italian, as they had jalapeños.

Tabby's salad with granny smith apples, walnuts, and gorgonzola

Therese had seafood pasta

Kylie and I had duck confit with mushroom risotto

Me, Tabby, Sara, Kylie, Therese

Chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake. I'm not fond of cheesecake anymore, but this was really good.

Toblerone torte-one of my favorite desserts ever

Lemon pavlova

Nutella cake

Love: Sugar sugar sugar! Whee!
