1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before?
Lots! Rode a commercial domestic flight in the Philippines, traveled with my BFFs on a plane ride, went to Canada, flew out to places I've never been to before all by myself, and dated (yes, I am a very late bloomer).

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make resolutions.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No. Our longtime family driver.

5. What countries did you visit?
US and Canada.

6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010?
Motivation and concern at work.

7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
October 31-I spent Halloween going around New York with one of my best friends, while sipping hot chocolate and spotting trick-or-treaters' costumes. I was genuinely happy then.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Not really sure. Perhaps going around foreign cities on my own and not getting into trouble.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Being chicken to not drive on my own yet. (Maybe once I get my own car, then I'll be motivated and brave enough!)

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yeah. Fainting in Toronto.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My Burberry sunglasses. I can't believe I've finally found a pair of sunglasses that looks good on me. And they're really expensive here in Manila, so buying them in Los Angeles was a good move.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My friends and family, with a special mention to therese6883 and her aunt and uncle for being incredibly nice to have me as a house guest.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Hahahaha, this is fittingly question number 13. ;)

14. Where did most of your money go?
I don't think I really bought a lot of things for myself this year, so I'll probably say the toll for my daily travel to work.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Seeing Erik Spoelstra in person! I'm not kidding. I went batshit insane.

16. What song will always remind you of 2010?
Bruno Mars, "Just the Way You Are"

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? This time last year, I was in Los Angeles...so I'm definitely thinner right now!
iii. richer or poorer? Richer. I still owe Christmas presents to my family!

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Read.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Slacking off.

20. How will did you be spending Christmas?
As usual, just spending it at home with family. But if we're talking about New Year, I might take the family out for New Year's Day brunch.

22. Did you fall in love in 2010?
No, really.

23. How many one-night stands?
None. Although a 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000001% chance did cross my mind.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Community.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Yup! Someone at work.

26. What was the best book you read?
Tribal Leadership. Yes, I know, it's a business title that I had to read for work, but it's really engaging.

27. What was your greatest musical (re)discovery?
Not a lot, maybe Lauren Pritchard.

28. What did you want and get?
Spéculoos spread and Askinosie Chocolate.

29. What did you want and not get?
My own car!

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Didn't watch a lot of movies. Maybe Inception.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Had Indonesian food with my family. I was 26.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
THE CELTICS WINNING THE CHAMPIONSHIP. FUCK GAME 7.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010?
Uhm...wear whatever's in my closet?

34. What kept you sane?
Chocolate.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
No-brainer. Paul Pierce.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Philippine national elections

37. Who did you miss?
My friends, my cousins

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Therese's New York relatives and her boyfriend. What a bunch of characters, especially her aunt. =)

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2010.
Trust your intuition.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
I won't pretend my way was lost
This world will not impose its will
I will not give up, and I will not give in

* * *

- Learning about Kevin Garnett getting injured was like learning that a family member had died. Yes, I am possibly very emotionally invested and quite insane. While I was watching that video of Shaq pinning KG down to the ground, I immediately grew concerned about his health and hoped that he wouldn't get injured all this year. Minutes later, he goes out of the game due to that injury. WILL THESE FREAKY COINCIDENCES STOP ALREADY?!

- I'm not even sure if I should wake up early to watch the Celtics-Hornets game later. No KG. Potentially still no Rondo. And I still hate Nate Robinson and hope Marquis Daniels starts while Rondo's out.

- Any ideas on what I can make with butterscotch chips? Aside from butterscotch blondies or pudding? I bought two bags at Walmart since there's not available in the Philippines. Now that I have them, I don't know what to do with them.

- I'm lazy to do my exercises. Eh. We'll see. Maybe I should. Even if I just drank a couple of glasses of wine earlier at lunch. Whoops.

Happy New Year to all!
