So I got this phonecall at 9:30am on Sunday. It was one of those creepy computer voices telling me that it was calling to tell me that some person attempted to access my bank account using my debit card information. Wherein I tell a tale of yesterday's concert experience, via some really awful blank verse.

( Don't say I didn't warn you - it's really bad poetry. )

Body thinks it should be awake right now. It thinks that there is one more week of night shift, then time to switch to day shift. It doesn't understand the concept of not going to work.

Even worse, Body is fighting off a cold. Badly.

Brain knows better. It wants to crawl under the blankets and hibernate.

Dumb body. It should listen to brain.

OK, so, Algonquin College has pissed me off.

So, I got to work just before 9:00am. I walk in and see two other workers: Lead, and RB. We compare notes. Apparently, TheMothership wants to reduce expenditures on all fronts, including third-party containment groups like us. All day today, I have been consulted by MrHair and other supervisory-types about the changes they are making to "improve the work flow". One even told me that I am the best worker my employer has ever sent over, because I understand 'flow', I don't piss anyone off, and am smarter than the rest of them all combined. Note to self: if computer starts acting flaky, investigate immediately. Do not, I repeat, do not let it wait for a while. Things inevitably get worse.
