Bit of a 'Garfield' Monday today.  Got into work to discover that there had been some power outage with the servers over the weekend, so we had no external email, internet or time-recording programme up and running.   On top of that the voicemail system had become corrupted in an unrelated technological let-down ( Read more... )

Well Tuesday night I was ready in my room by the computer for 6 o clock awaiting the call from Dell which, to cut a long and frustrating story short, never arrived.  The same pattern repeated itself last night, and I’m pretty sure I won’t hear anything from them tonight either.

I’m still very annoyed about the computer. Now, however, my annoyance is focussed on the fact that this sort of thing seems to be so complicated to get sorted out. You can’t simply phone up the tech support line and have them help you efficiently and simply.
