Random updates
So this month has been a lot of getting ready for stuff that will happen later. We leave for the road trip to NYC to visit zoethebrave in 2 weeks from today, so we've been planning stuff to do aside from the Madonna show and shopping. My work got extended to Aug 31st, so that's cool - some extra $ and then we'll go visit the nephews on Labour Day weekend ( Read more... ) -
LACC / PlayStation press conference
I headed over to the LA Convention Center this morning to grab my E3 badge and get the obligatory shot of the building. Then I headed back towards the hotel for some brunch at Denny's and to lament the lack of wifi, since the LACC hotspot won't be turned on until Wednesday.

X'05 Canada
Went to Microsoft's X'05 event yesterday and got to check out some new 360 games. Definitely a mixed bag as far as games that look and feel like a new generation and some that are the same old thing with slightly better graphics. The undead and new life...
Went to the Land of The Dead launch party last night and had a pretty good time for a wednesday. Got there a bit late because I went a bit too far west (was at Vatikan) and then got "walked" there by some dude on methadone... so I definitely needed a drink or 3 by the time I arrived. TGS and Autumn Equinox
On Friday I went to Tokyo Game Show, and while it was fun, it's definitely smaller than E3, as I was able to see everything I wanted in only one day. It was mostly worth it, even though PS3 wasn't playable :( I did get to play some good stuff though, and man was there a tonne of stuff for mobile phones. Was just catching up on LJ today and figured I'd post a few things. Was on night shift this week (and will be next as well), so that means I get to spend a bit of quality time with The Movie Network. I've rekindled my interest in Canadian film lately, and it's amazing how many films are on there from the last couple of years that I hadn't heard of ( Read more... )
