This morning at 6:08 am, I was driving down a street in my subdivision and startled two does, who made a hasty retreat into someones back yard, by leaping lightly over a chain-link fence. For variety's sake, I washed my hair in the kitchen sink this morning. And as I was standing there, eating a tiny bowl of cornflakes, I noticed that all the backyard customers were gone - birds, squirrels - all missing. Interesting, exhausting weekend. Took in Old Days by Harold Pinter, written in 1971. One of those plays with only three actors, minimalist furniture, all white, and lots and lots of meaningful pauses to which you the audience are to attach Meaning.
