Last night my beloved faeryshaman  and I, accompanied by the fabulous ladyfuchsia, went to see Shakespeare's "Midsummer Night's Dream" performed outdoors at twilight in the Royal Botanical Gardens.

It was a relatively small production, but was great- hilarious and quite bawdy, as Shakespeare was intended to be.  The actor playing Puck was fabulous at bodily capturing ( Read more... )

Although it's been clear and beautiful through the past several months, it seems that finally the rains of autumn have settled in. Today is grey and gloomy with rains falling in heavy spurts. Yesterday my beloved and I made our trip to Chicago.  Since my car is not in great shape, I decided to take the megabus from Indy to Chicago.  I worked through the morning and then we headed out after a quick lunch, getting to Indy in good time.  I missed a turn downtown so we ended up driving in circles for a little while looking for the parking ( Read more... )

Saturday I woke from a gorgeous dream.  Kel and I were at a huge renaissance faire in Tassie and, wandering through the wonders of the merchants' area looking at all the incredible artistry and talking with the good folk selling it, Kel and I came to the conclusion that I should only work part-time as a therapist so that we would have long weekends ( Read more... )

It was a wonderful weekend. Friday night Kel and I went out to enjoy the gorgeous evening. We went to Toys-R-Us and bought some things for bubble-blowing and a backgammon set then had a wonderful dinner at Ruby Tuesday's. I got home from work yesterday to find my friend Dawn had come over and was hanging out with pandara.  Shortly after that, our friend midnytfae called to say she and her boyfriend Lowell were on their way back from their seaside vacation and wanted to come over and visit.  When they got here, they wanted to tell us that while on vacation they had gotten engaged.  ( Read more... )
