Although it's been clear and beautiful through the past several months, it seems that finally the rains of autumn have settled in. Today is grey and gloomy with rains falling in heavy spurts. Although the day is a bit oppressive, I welcome the falling water and revel in observing how intensely green everything is becoming.
I awoke this morning from violent and disturbing dreams. I was in a futuristic recreation of the Roman arena watching a man whose abdomen was being cut in two by a laser for the entertainment of the crowd. Afterwards a beautiful female medic came to cart him away to be healed. It was the type of dream that leaves you a bit shaken on awakening, and I'm still reflecting on the meanings lying hidden in the symbolism.
Last night my beloved and I went to a friend's for dinner. It was an absolutely wonderful evening full of delicious food and great company. It's such a blessing to finally be finding such bright-spirited new friends and being able to spend time with them...
