So I've decided that next year I'm going to expand things a bit and apply to some screenwriting MFA programs. I'm looking at programs now, and a lot of them seem to have specific writing prompts they want applicants to submit. For the creative writing MFA application, Columbia wants a 1,000 word essay responding to a work of literature in my concentration, written within the past ten years.  So, fiction.  I was going to submit a paper I wrote about House of Leaves, but I'm 99% sure that was written more than ten years ago.  But anyway ( Read more... )
