1. Gassed up my car yesterday. Suspect I will need to take out a loan to do it the next time. My 2000 Saturn wagon took 10.35 gallons (so it wasn't quite as empty as I'd thought) and that cost me $40.85. Aaaack!

Well, at least the weather improved a lot today. It had rained the past two days but by noon the sky had cleared and we had a nice, clear fall day. That's the best thing about today; otherwise it's been full of minor annoyances.

We've got an animation (downloaded from YouTube, where the videographer has it up and available so people can do remixes) and also an MP3 to use as background music. I did the Golden Compass meme and got the Ocelot, but I messed up copying the stuff so no pretty picture here. Anyway, I got about halfway through the book more than a year ago, put it down somewhere in the house -- and never saw it again. Probably should find it, eh?

1. The snow must go on: We had 5.3 inches of heavy, wet, nasty, slushy snow yesterday, plus another inch last night.
