Today marks eight years with Hana!

Hana irritated her eye again (the same one as last Christmas) somehow, haha. She was fine Friday when I got home, then by the time I finished yoga, she was all squinty with the one eye and pawing at it for a while. Good thoughts/prayers would be appreciated for my sweet fluff. She's been having runny poo for well over a week (of course it started AFTER the vet checkup, sigh). I went ahead and took Hana to the emergency vet. I've been here less than half an hour and the vet has already been out to talk to me. Whatever started the irritation, it was very recent because her eye is only a little pink. They dilated her eye and looked for anything stuck in the lids, any damage to the eyeball, etc., and everything looks fine, ( Read more... )

For a bit I thought Hana had gotten something in her eye because it looked like she was keeping it mostly closed, but now it seems more like her cheek is swollen. I have no idea what happened, but I'm hoping we can avoid a visit to the emergency vet tomorrow...
