I paid off my mattress this weekend!! :-D It feels a little ridiculous that it took me two years to pay off a balance that was like a third of my car loan (which took me three years, I think?) but I had five years interest-free so there was no hurry thus I didn't hurry, haha. I've read some of the more academic asexuality-focused books/articles, and this new book Ace by Angela Chen is definitely more approachable. I really appreciate its intersectional and multidimensional approach, with chapters focused on race and disability to go along with the chapters on feminism, romance, friendship, and compulsory sexuality. I just finished reading Essentialism: The disciplined pursuit of less by Greg McKeown. It's not a bad book, but I didn't find it nearly as satisfying as How to do Nothing by Jenny Odell (which is not directly comparable in terms of subject matter, but I kept thinking of it while I read Essentialism).
