We had a few croissants for breakfast and we're on our way this morning. Now sitting at Heathrow airport as Linda looks over the perfume. Plenty of time before our 8:15am boarding....

Had a good night's sleep.

We are to arrive in Phoenix at 1pm local time... A long time from now.

I booked the last bit of the holiday... a flight from PHX to PDX... splurged a bit on a nice direct flight at a nice time....  so we'll have plenty of good visiting time with Tim in Portland, before going up to Washington.

Heard the sad news that my Uncle Fred (my father's older brother) passed away.  A few days ago he apparently had a bad fall and was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Phoenix, AZ (from their home in Yuma, I assume).   Terrible.

Continuing my quest to chronicle events in my life....  here's what was going on over five years ago in July 2006:
