Heathrow, 6 am
We had a few croissants for breakfast and we're on our way this morning. Now sitting at Heathrow airport as Linda looks over the perfume. Plenty of time before our 8:15am boarding....
Had a good night's sleep.
We are to arrive in Phoenix at 1pm local time... A long time from now.
Our friends Tim and Veronica will meet us at the airport. Then we'll do something. Probably be knackered pretty early on, jet lagged, but we'll see.
We got a bit impatient for the shuttle bus to come yesterday, so we decided to take a taxi to the hotel yesterday for about £18. The airline had given us vouchers for the bus and for the hotel and dinner and breakfast. All in all, it worked out OK... We'll get there later, but had a nicer hotel than the one we planned in Phoenix. I filled out a compensation form so we may get reimbursed, even though they put us up last night near the airport here.
Dinner at the hotel last night was a curry buffet.
