So today I was babysitting for a friend and had Duncan with me. At one point during the day I caught him looking at his hand! He examined the fingers, then looked at the other side. it was just a second, but it's a milestone none the less. :)

Aeley came over and watched D. while I worked in the yard. I fixed the lawn mower. I found out the spark plug the service persons had put in was the wrong one , and that's why it's been surging for about 6 mo. now. I'd call the place , but f@#!$ 'em I can fix most of it ( Read more... )

So it's been one week , give or take a couple of days , and it's coming along fairly well. I'm still looking for a job , although it's bleak out there , and Duncan is great so far. Tomorrow is the first day Anna returns to work after her maternity leave. I hardly seems like Duncan is 3 m. old at this point , but he has come along quite a bit. Lunch has been made for Anna, and I have something for me too. Here comes the next adventure.

OK, so I don't think this need to be said, but honestly when I'm taking care of Duncan I'm not doing my wife a favor. Changing diapers , getting up at 5:00 am when I went to sleep at 4:00, taking the fussy baby to swaddle and rock to sleep, it's part of being a parent, not a favor to my wife.
