OK, so I don't think this need to be said, but honestly when I'm taking care of Duncan I'm not doing my wife a favor. Changing diapers , getting up at 5:00 am when I went to sleep at 4:00, taking the fussy baby to swaddle and rock to sleep, it's part of being a parent, not a favor to my wife. The attitude that anything a man does is "extra" really

Yeah, how come no one calls me a "good mother" for changing Z's diaper??

I get called "mam" a lot for reasons I don't quite understand; back when I had long hair, I expected it when people saw me from the back, but now with short hair I will get called "mam" even if I haven't shaved for a day or so. (I guess people see my height and assume female? I don't know...)

Anyway, it's interesting that percentage of time that people call me "mam" shoots through the roof when I am pushing Z around in the stroller.
