Tested the dive computer housing in the pond this weekend.  It leaked.  It was fine for two weeks submerged in a bucket at my house, but it didn't survive 2.5 feet in the pond for maybe 45 minutes attached to a swim suit ( Read more... )

It flooded, though not immediately. It was a trickle: I couldn't see an obvious leak, though I didn't have much time to spend staring at it.

I've looked at it, and saw something (trash) under one of the gaskets. I'm going to try again tomorrow after Kyle's defense.

If removing that debris doesn't fix it, I'm going to try some kind of goo.

My homemade dive computer passed its tests in the pool today, encased in four zip-lock bags. The depth displayed on its LCD matched two other depth gauges.
