The only thing that would make it better would be to have cheap textbooks for it.  We all know college textbooks cost too much.  The downside is that you wouldn't be able to sell them back.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is, according to the card catalog, on order for my public library system.  ^_^  This pleases me.

Anyone seen the new Kindle yet?  It's pretty slick looking.  I'm thinking Apple type slick.  Some of the pictures make me think it might be a little awkward to hold with one hand but we'll see.  One day I'd like one but I'm waiting for future generations.  Like color.  ^_^  But, I have to admit, if I could load manga onto it, that'd be pretty sweet ( Read more... )

Tamora Pierce is going to be -really- close to my home next month for a speech and book signing.  If I weren't at work, I'd be jumping up and down and yelling with joy.

At http://librivox.org/, they have free audiobooks.  They take books that are public domain, have volunteers read them, and they put them up to download.

They have two Lupin books, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes, and The Return of Sherlock Holmes.  Scratch that, they have a whole lot of Holmes.  And mysteries!
