For the first time, I took a day off of work on November 1st.  Yes, one of the reasons was so I could write.  And it worked.  I started the first day with a bit over 4000 words (4k)!  But if that weren't enough, I wrote another 4k the next day and a little more than that one the 3rd day!

NanoWriMo is almost here, I don't really have a story idea this year.  :(  My dad threw out an idea that I just might go with (which I'm jealously guarding).  It has unusual potential.  The only thing I can think of without any suggestions is to go to TV Tropes, pick out three tropes and use them in a story.

Well, I've started writing a little bit of fanfiction again.  Admittedly, it is for the annual spook_me fanfic challenge.  But that counts, especially since I tend to only write one truly horrifying piece and the others are whatever I'm moved to write.

W00t!  50023!

Tomorrow, I'm going to use the rest of November to write a Legend of Zelda fanfic that is running around in my head.  I eventually plan to post it on fanfiction.net.  And probably here, too.

Today is a 5k day.

That's right.  I wrote 5,000 words in one day.  That is a record and a first for all my years of participating in NaNoWriMo and I've been doing this since 2004.

I go to validate my novel and it says that I have only 49,553 words! That's BS, I've double checked my word count and made sure to not use the "-" because it counts it as two words in my program and as one in the validator (learned this last year). I guess I can write another 500 but I don't want to. I did the writing already.
