My Dinner
is labeled "cooks perfectly in about 3 minutes." Well if the time is approximate, then it doesn't say much that it "cooks perfectly" within that period. Why don't I label brussel sprouts "tastes delicious to some people" for crying out loud? Why not start with the precise part of your sentence, in this case "We say cook it for 3 minutes, because ( Read more... ) -
Writing an essay,
like painting a picture is composed of three parts: Getting the idea (picking your thesis), lining up the materials (reading and finding relevant quotes), and turning the materials into the idea. Hancock
So I just saw "Hancock" on the giant screen. It's exactly what you'd expect for the first hour, then another half hour you didn't pay for. The end is both a very surprising twist I didn't see coming, and an uninteresting diversion from the central gimmick that made the film work.
