Well, we got the place in Edmonton! It's on 124th street, which is stort of Whyte-Ave-like, and we're only 2 blocks from a big Asian Market, which will make Alina happy. I've put in an application to rent a place just north of downtown Edmonton (very near where Alina's pseudo-grandma Bernie lives, in fact), and we're waiting anxiously to hear back from them. I haven't done an update on here in a while, mainly because our situation hasn't changed, but I have gotten a lot of packing-related stuff done. All of our VHS tapes and DVDs are packed up, and most of our books. Well, we got our letter today about the condo conversion, and I'm relieved. They DID decide to make the conversion, but apparently City of Saskatoon bylaw requires 3 months notice before any conversion can take place... and better yet, once the conversion occurs, the tenants have the right to maintain occupancy for 2 years. Well, we got some relatively bad news recently... it sounds like the owners of our building are planning to change over to condos.
