Fuck, this swine flu thing is scaring me.
I'm such a hypochondriac, and the media is REALLY blowing everything up (i.e. the language that they're using is very... panic-inducing), so reading/watching the news is not good for my nerves. I should probably stop. -

I'm conducting an experiment on myself this weekend.
The experiment is called: "is it possible to read the entirety of Paradise Lost in three days time?"
I'm turning reading into an extreme sport! I know, not a good idea. But it's okay, if I fail, lessons will be learned and all that. Hopefully, at least. -
And now I whine about something more immature
How are you supposed to write a 7-page paper about a 4000 page novel? How!?? Keeping in mind that the professor wants "scope." i.e. He gave us an example of a great paper somebody turned in for his class, except that it only discussed the first part of the novel (Swann's Way). The Dalai Lama's coming to Cal! I want to hear him speak but apparently I might have to wait in line for hours and hours. I don't have the patience for that. Hi friends list (Ben maybe?). Could you help me with the scansion for this line?
"Orb'd in a Rain-bow; and like glories wearing"
(stress - unstress - unstress - stress - unstress) is the first part yeah? But after the semi-colon, I'm unsure. "and" and "like" are both monosyllabic, so are they both stressed? unstressed? -
/FRUSTRATION/
My laptop won't turn on, and I'm *pretty* sure it's just a problem with the power (the little thingy where you plug in your laptop was all loose and I think there might be a problem with the adapter too), though it might just be wishful thinking.
