A real update from the last post. Job told me that I had to be working in that position for six months before I could move onto sometime that didn't suck. I wasn't willing to be there for that long so I put in my notice. My last day was Friday and it feels really good to be free of that horrible department. Santa Cristina 2006 Toscana Sangiovese. Had this back on the same evening that I had the Chianti but haven't taken the time to write about it. This one was very bright, crisp and almost sparkling in a way without being actually bubbly. In the front of the tongue as compared to the Chianti which was in the back of the tongue. Really strong at first but it grew on me quite quickly. Overtones of cherry and darker fruit flavor with a medium spice after tone. Dry but no bitter after flavor more tangy.

Was started with dinner of spaghetti and finished with conversation.

Canyon Road 2002 Shiraz - Geyserville, California - review 4 out of 5 stars - nice and smooth with that spicy undertone that isn't harsh. Really enjoyable ( Read more... )

Enjoyable wine and I would buy another bottle. Smooth with a hint of vanilla with almost a pear (crisp fruit flavor) in the background. Juicy and flavorful without a lot of spice. Yummy
