I've had the hiccups for seven hours. Hiccups are only amusing for the first hour or so. I've tried holding my breath so many times that my lungs are sore and I think this headache is from oxygen deprivation. I got really sick this weekend. Fever and a major sore throat. I feel much better today, but I'm still lightheaded and coughing nonstop. It's the coughing that's really bad. My chest and back are sore and my throat is raw. Fluids and cough drops aren't helping much. I just hope that whatever this is, I cough it up soon. I can't be awake all night ( Read more... )

Cooking class went pretty well. I kind of underestimated the time it takes to make some of the food, though. >.< I have to remember to factor in explination time. Had a great time with the elementary kids today. The younger kids are so easy. We did numbers. I did numbers last year to relative success, but this year I introduced a new concept: time trials. Kuroiwa continues to be my favorite school ever. Today just further cemented this fact.

We cleaned. The entire school. And not just spritzed the windows or wiped down the blackboards. We were on our hands and knees cleaning the floor with rags and pieces of steel wool as big as a thumbnail. It was backbreaking labor, but I would do it all over ( Read more... )
