Kuroi wa the brightest part of my week!

Feb 21, 2008 18:50

Kuroiwa continues to be my favorite school ever. Today just further cemented this fact.

We cleaned. The entire school. And not just spritzed the windows or wiped down the blackboards. We were on our hands and knees cleaning the floor with rags and pieces of steel wool as big as a thumbnail. It was backbreaking labor, but I would do it all over ( Read more... )

coworkers, humor, tv, kuroiwa, yay

The only Japanese tongue twister I know is "Basu gasu bakuhatsu" (bus gas explosion). I've never heard the one you mentioned.... have you heard the joke "futon ga futtonda"? "The futon fell over in the wind" is probably the best translation I can give you lol. I just googled it and found more! "Sore wa sarada no sara da" (That is a salad plate). "Sake ga sakenda" (The salmon was shouting). I want to learn as many of these puns as I can lol. To Japanese people they're like the oldest jokes in the book.... but of course they're new to me ^_^

I know "basu gasu bakuhatsu" from Azumanga Daioh and I forgot to mention it in the entry. I simply can't say it.

haha those are great puns. There's also "baka kaba" (Stupid hippo.) That's the only one I can thing of, though. D:

Hey, it's "out of the mouths of foreigners" syndrome. Anything you say is going to be renewed in its coolness. One of the perks of being non-Japanese. ;)

Haha only you and one other person on my friends list would get it. And I just got an idea to improve it, so check it out again!

You remain Queen of Japanese Puns in my book, though. I'm still in awe over "konyakuza." You need to make a comic like yesterday. >/\< お願い!

Hahaha... I actually found out that it's not konyaku but konnyaku. Thus I'm calling it "konnyakuza". I just drew something really dumb and I will post it lol.

Aww, I liked that episode of Medium. Needed more Joe, though.

haha look! I rhymed too! IN ENGLISH! BECAUSE ITS ALL I SPEAK!

And that's just freaking fantastic you got a kick out of cleaning your school. How about you come home and clean my room so I can clean your room? Yep. That's all I've been doing for the last 4 days. Cleaning my room... and taking naps and playing WoW... and ignoring Kara because I don't know what she wants when she has food, just went outside, and I played with her for 2 hours. Then Mom gets pissed at me because she has decided any time Kara starts barking she wants to go out and I'm in the middle of a Kara raid (hahaha) and am in the middle of the boss fight, so as soon as I'm done I throw my headphones off and run for the door but Mom starts screaming at me because she's already there and then begins to scream at me louder to tell me she's not screaming when I tell her she doesn't have to scream at me.

Anyway, yeah.

Are you kidding? That episode blew! We have to Skype about it sometime because I need to convince you that it sucked.

And although I agree with you that more Joe is needed, I can't believe they only had a total of 5 minutes of Lee. :,( My God I love Lee. He's damaged.

I'd love to be home and cleaning your room and getting yelled at by mom. At least then I could hug her. And you. And Kara. And maybe Adam if he's showered.

Man, if a joke takes longer to get than it does to say, I'm doing something wrong. :(

More interaction is needed!

I will get to your email ASAP. How are you feeling? Just keep reminding yourself that you're exactly what they're looking for. You'll do great.

The kids are going to love you, Tim. I will tell them you can speak German and Spanish and they will ask you to translate everything. You know what would be awesome? If you learned to juggle while saying the German alphabet. Also, bring stickers.

I will be all Skyping you like crazy one time and you'll be like, "Ahhhhh! Ann's calling me again and I just talked to her thirty seconds ago! Noooooo!"

Then you'll look back on these days and remember how nice it was when you weren't talking to me. ;P
