The holidays have me surrounded and I'm actually caught up for the most part. The only thing I did not finish was getting out Christmas cards so if I missed anyone - sorry! I tried curry in the crock pot tonight. Yum! Potatoes, carrots, celery, and oh that's right chicken. Yum!! Fresh cilantro to boot. Love it!

Life is good as I try not to wipe my nose with the back of my hand. Work has been definitely busy which has kept me glued on priorities and not trying to cheat online with checking facebook or read newspapers for the latest local information. And the weather? In 25 hours I should be boarding a plane or else I'll be sipping Bloody Mary's waiting for the direct flight to Chicago pending American an hour or so later. I'm hoping for the latter, but then that's mean I'll have to wait that much longer to go anywhere. 4 am we'll be off to the airport. Argh. This past week isn't one I want to go over right now, but I will. The first depressing and biggest of the news was that a friend and old co-worker passed away last week. He was so young (48) and didn't seem to be any more 'bad' than most people health wise and yet he passed on by heart attack. I'm sad for his daughter, Mother and Aunt that he ( Read more... )

I was so lucky yesterday. Drank way way too much at a wedding and glad the only time I went down was on the way to the parking lot. I blame the cobble stone alley and a blister on my toe that I was attempting to adjust the strap on when I lost my balance. Oops! M tried so hard not to laugh at me, but couldn't help himself. So I made a Finnish pancake for breakfast today. M approved of it although I think I left it in the oven too long. Gotta love a giant puff pancake!
