I was so lucky yesterday. Drank way way too much at a wedding and glad the only time I went down was on the way to the parking lot. I blame the cobble stone alley and a blister on my toe that I was attempting to adjust the strap on when I lost my balance. Oops! M tried so hard not to laugh at me, but couldn't help himself. I did stop the fall with my hands (imagine a sprinters stance out of the starting blocks), but I'm sure if anyone had seen me from the other end of the alley they had a great ass/underwear shot of me. Geesh! Gotta love those minis! At least I had on dark britches, but still. Ergh! M took care of me in between chuckles. Such an early evening too, but one must remember the wedding started at 11am. The gin and tonic after the wedding was what tipped me over. Stick to wine I always tell myself, but nope...my bad.
Despite the earlier thunder storm and light rain the sky cleared for the start of the wedding. The bride rode in on her horse and it was just beautiful. The Irish priest was hilarious and life was good. I was doing fine on the 'farm' until we decided to head into town to keep the party going. Should have just gone home though, but ultimately we had fun until this morning. Argh! I haven't felt like this since the Indian Party and even then I wasn't as bad off. I think the last time I felt hungover like this was about 4-5 years ago. Dang! I feel better now, but earlier? Ick.
Overall the weekend flew by. Friday I donate blood and sort of coasted the rest of the day. Went window shopping at the Outlets and did find a couple of nice skirts at Ann Taylor for a steal. The outfit I wore yesterday was from there. And then I went to get the wedding gift, met up with my Mom and drove off togethe to meet the men for dinner.
And today was spent taking it easy. M and I did some yard work (more he than me). I transplanted some pepper plants back intot he greenhouse to prolong their growth. We'll see what happens. The basil I had started I transplanted into larger pots and something else I hope will stay on to mid-winter if not longer. I have not gotten my pesto fix yet this year. It's been a strange garden year for me overall and I'm not sure if it's my fault or the micro weather here. The spaghetti squash is starting up again and something M really likes after trying it for the first time last week. Homemade pasta sauce over cooked spaghetti squash ROCKS! Lo cal and lo carb. Gotta love it.
I think that's about it for now. It's trying to spit rain on us this afternoon. I wish it would just come down. I love the rain and we could definitely use it!
