[Really, that was his first thought [lack of punctuation and all,] and it escaped his mouth as an exasperated sigh. He had no idea where he was or what had happened: Only that something had. And whatever it was, it wasn't good. Shinjiro had been all too happy to find a mindless denizen of the Underworld who had been selling dangos in the marketplace, and now he was in some kind of....
Stupid... hallway?
Damn it. Glancing up, he took a bite of the dango, seeming to not realize the way he was talking to himself, muffled around the food:] Fucking stupid. What is it now.
[At leats he wasn't the only one in this situation.]
{She had been on the way to the clinic to see if Anders needed any help for the day, so when Bethany suddenly found herself in some corridor, needless to say, she was shocked. Looking around, she spotted the other three people - people she didn't recognise - and was fairly sure she knew who to blame for this.}
Another trick by the Gods, it would seem. {A sigh.} Maker, I wish our hosts would stop with all the crazy, I still haven't gotten over being attacked by rabbits and nugs...
[ Sleeping. He'd been sleeping, still is. It's just not his bed he's waking up in. He's got one cheek pressed into the grass and dirt when he comes to and one hand reaching blindly as he pushes himself up to his knees with a frown. Wherever he is, it definitely isn't the house he'd been staying in with Annabeth.
It's - it can't be what it looks like. He spins on his heel, whips around, stumbles a few steps to search for a face. Anyone. For that symbol, if he's where he thinks he is. ] I'm dreaming. I've got to be dreaming.
This was decidedly not where she'd been a moment ago. As if being suddenly transplanted into the Underworld wasn't disconcerting enough, here she'd gone and thought that the sudden displacement was mostly done with. Apparently, thinking that was just stupid. How dare she start to get comfortable.
It took a few moments before she figured it out, though. Stone walls, darkness, the inescapable feeling of being lost forever... Last time she'd needed Rachel to get her out, but now...
Now pretty much all she could do was stand there and maybe choose a direction at random and hope that it led somewhere desirable. Preferably out. There wasn't anything at the center of it that she wanted anymore.
For now, though, she deserved a little whining, heaving a sigh. "Not again. Really? Why me?"
... What in the world(s)? Kate was only transported into the Underworld a while ago and had barely gotten used to it. Being transported again was going a bit far.
"Great," she muttered under her breath, looking around. Walls that were too tall to jump; they seemed to go on forever. Whatever this maze was, it wouldn't be that easy. She couldn't treat it like home, where she could just spring across rooftops until she found what she was looking for. The darkness wasn't completely overwhelming, at least. Kate could just make out the shape of other people around her. But who were they, exactly? Could she trust them, or not? It was unknown what kind of things were planted here. With a gentle pull - making sure her hair wasn't tangled in them - Kate tugged her sunglasses from her head and slid them over her eyes, searching for the signs of any powers from these figures.
Marian stumbled as a step on cobblestones turned abruptly to a step on - something else entirely. Her expression went grim as she took in towering walls and oppressive gloom. Given the circumstances, it should be little surprise, really, that her hand lifted instinctively to her staff. It didn't drop away as she noted the small group's composition, all of them human and at least half younger than she, but enough of her immediate tension dissipated to turn it from potential threat to evident wariness over their surroundings. There were, after all, monsters about to contend with.
She exhaled slowly, squaring her shoulders. "Is everyone all right?" she asked. First things first - having someone start off hurt would change the necessary approach to getting out. "Is anyone injured?"
[He's fairly certain what wakes him up is the fact that he's no longer sleeping on a nice, soft bed, but is in fact laying on slightly warmed...
...stone? He blinks. What? Where? Huh?
Luckily for him, he's gotten into the habit of sleeping with his hand on his sword belt. He stands and straps it on, looking around, confusion spreading across his face.]
[ Garrett has been known to get lost, but he once again he found himself surprised by just how lost he managed to get himself. One moment he'd been walking around the corner, heading towards the Roadhouse or Pick up Styx (he was never sure which one he would end up at when he set out) and then all of a sudden- well, he was here. Looking just as confused as Edge only much less recently-asleep.
He pauses, glancing at the other for a moment, before pivoting on a foot to turn around, scratching his head. ]
I could have sworn that I was headed in the right direction... But then, when does that ever happen. [ He laughs. ]
[Jayne was confused. And when he got confused, he tended to get irritable. He'd been on his way to the bar that Mal had pointed out to him for a few drinks after hunting in the forest. Sure, the place was rutting odd, but he adapted fairly well.
[.. until he found himself in the middle of a long, high-walled corridor with a cluster of similarly confused people he'd never even met.]
If I got kidnapped again, I'm gonna blow someone's gorram head off.
[The sudden translocation is jarring. Not so much in that Balthazar finds himself abruptly elsewhere - that's familiar enough, given the speed at which he can travel - but in that he was not himself the initiator. There's a few seconds of lag time before he processes the towering walls and jarring angles of the labyrinth's passage, processes the shapes of others nearby, unfamiliar in the gloom.
Unfamiliar means unimportant, and in the moment, he can tell himself there's no reason not to leave anyone else behind.
Flight comes as naturally as breathing, and to the outside world, there is nothing but the faint sound of great wingbeats, and the thin blond man winking out of existence. It is only when he winks back in a scant few meters away, still within easy sight of his initial point of appearance, that he realizes just how much trouble he's in.]
{Feorlin had been napping against a wall in the house she now shared with Zakurai after what she thought was a well deserved snack of cookies. That was until she found herself dropped on her ass in the middle of... somewhere she doesn't recognise. Again.
Standing up, her first concern was to ensure she had her Gobbiebag and equips. That checked and all in place, she looks around and spots the other four people nearby; people she didn't recognise. That wasn't a strange occurrence for her though - her profession meant she met a lot of people, teamed up with strangers all the time. Dusting herself off, she began to approach them, a great big smile in place.
Then she noticed the looks on their faces and she stopped suddenly and her face fell, ears drooping a little. She suddenly wasn't so sure she'd been napping in the house, but that instead she'd been in a party, resting to get her mp up, and then had tele'd them all somewhere but failed to cast properly - again. She danced on her toes, looking right and left, panic on her face.}Oh
( ... )
[Anders had been in his clinic for most of the day, though the rate of people being sick and injured is remarkably low compared to Dark Town. Oh well, that gives him time to play with Messere Meowmers! The kitten was a little skiddish from its experience with the other cats (that all went berserk for some reason, much to Anders's dismay) but still trusted the mage's company, at least.]
...promise I won't let anyone hurt you ever a- ...[Annnnd now he's no longer in his clinic but instead in some...maze thing along with other people.]
Maker's breath. Now what? [He opens the flap of his coat and places the kitten in one of his inner pockets and turns his attention to...the tiny...creature thing.] You did this?

Well... then I'm dreaming too. Is that possible?

[She shakes her head.] I think this is another one of those tricks, like with the plants and the animals.
