[ Sleeping. He'd been sleeping, still is. It's just not his bed he's waking up in. He's got one cheek pressed into the grass and dirt when he comes to and one hand reaching blindly as he pushes himself up to his knees with a frown. Wherever he is, it definitely isn't the house he'd been staying in with Annabeth.
It's - it can't be what it looks like. He spins on his heel, whips around, stumbles a few steps to search for a face. Anyone. For that symbol, if he's where he thinks he is. ] I'm dreaming. I've got to be dreaming.
[Well, at least she got poofed here in the middle of a patrol, she's got her weapon and shield ready for whatever they're about to face. Hmm, Utena, Ki-- Alistair, and two other young people she never met. Why are there so many young people here?]
I believe Utena is correct, this is another trick. [She's glad to see the girl has a proper weapon now.]
My name is Aveline. Are the you two able to defend yourselves? [She aims this question at Percy and Alison while she runs a hand over the stone wall. Even if they had a rogue they wouldn't be able to scale it, the walls went up higher than she can see...]
[ One, two, three - four. He's not alone, except it's not the sort of thing he's sure he can take solace in. Sure, comrades, allies, potential friends? They're great to have around and all but the Labyrinth isn't something he'd wish on anyone. He nods, sharp and decisive. ]
I can handle myself, [ he tells them all, mostly the woman called Aveline. His eyes drift to the other girl in question, because it's important. They should know that. There's something a little too personal in his voice to be completely detached, something that says this place is familiar. ] And I doubt we're hallucinating this.
Percy Jackson. [ With introductions out of the way, he's assessing what all of them have said. ] If we've got no other way to mark it, we could try the old-fashioned way. Carve a marking into something. It's just that it probably won't be very reliable, because the point of this place is not to have any order.
[ And he trails off, following Aveline's lead with his eyes, straining. What is it? ]
[She doesn't have time to worry about markings as there's a small horde of skeletons suddenly advancing on them.
She moves into a defensive stance, positioning herself in front of the rest of them. She manages to catch the attention of three of them and her feet dig into the ground as she strikes at them with her shield.]

Well... then I'm dreaming too. Is that possible?

[She shakes her head.] I think this is another one of those tricks, like with the plants and the animals.

Not likely. Shared dreams uncommon. Could be hallucination. [Touches wall.] Solid walls.

[He glances at the others, a couple he doesn't know. He shrugs before introducing himself.]
I'm Alistair, by the way.

I haven't been here before. Do you think there are monsters around?
Reply
Most likely. Very seldom safe here. Even in the best of times.
Can make a light, if we need one.

As far as getting out of here, do any of you have a way to mark where we've been-- magically or otherwise?
[She turns away from them and looks down the path. She thinks she can hear something shuffling around the corner...]
((OOC: Gonna steal an idea from one of the other threads-- let's fight a group of something, skeletons maybe?))

[Oh my... something does seem to be coming toward them. Alistair steps forward, bringing up his shield.]

[Hm? Now she can hear something too.] ...I think it's coming closer. [She holds her longsword with both hands, ready.]
