[He's fairly certain what wakes him up is the fact that he's no longer sleeping on a nice, soft bed, but is in fact laying on slightly warmed...
...stone? He blinks. What? Where? Huh?
Luckily for him, he's gotten into the habit of sleeping with his hand on his sword belt. He stands and straps it on, looking around, confusion spreading across his face.]
[ Garrett has been known to get lost, but he once again he found himself surprised by just how lost he managed to get himself. One moment he'd been walking around the corner, heading towards the Roadhouse or Pick up Styx (he was never sure which one he would end up at when he set out) and then all of a sudden- well, he was here. Looking just as confused as Edge only much less recently-asleep.
He pauses, glancing at the other for a moment, before pivoting on a foot to turn around, scratching his head. ]
I could have sworn that I was headed in the right direction... But then, when does that ever happen. [ He laughs. ]
[Jayne was confused. And when he got confused, he tended to get irritable. He'd been on his way to the bar that Mal had pointed out to him for a few drinks after hunting in the forest. Sure, the place was rutting odd, but he adapted fairly well.
[.. until he found himself in the middle of a long, high-walled corridor with a cluster of similarly confused people he'd never even met.]
If I got kidnapped again, I'm gonna blow someone's gorram head off.
[Morrigan was not happy and her expression clearly denoted that. One moment she had been studying a creature in the forest, leaning against her staff as she watched it from the shadows, and the next she was surrounded by walls and three men plus one other woman, only one of which she found familiar.]
Wonderful. Just wonderful. [Glares.] Who are you people?
[Whatever Kainé had been doing right before she appeared in the Labyrinth must have involved killing things, because she pops up in an attack stance and covered in something else's blood.
She looks around her new companions in confusion. Garrett, that asshole from before, and a man and woman she had never met before. Okay.
She looks up at the stone walls surrounding them, getting sudden flashbacks of the temple near Facade. FUCK THIS SHIT. She propels herself up by ricocheting back and forth between the walls of the Labyrinth. She gets pretty high up before abruptly stopping and sliding back down. At least she lands on her feet.]
[ Garrett paused to consider Jayne, before tipping his head and watching as Kaine took off like a acrobatic madwoman up the walls. And then he realized that he probably shouldn't have looked up because he could see up her skirt, and he was pretty certain that if he pointed this out Kaine would come right back down and land on his skull, crushing it beneath her pretty pointy heels.
Not a pleasant thought. ]
Well the good news is, you haven't really been kidnapped. Just moved a little. [ He smiled wryly to the Jayne, before nodding politely in Morrigan's direction. ] Why Morrigan, forgetting me? [ He put his hand to his chest and cocked his head back theatrically. ] You wound me! I thought I was a bit more memorable than that.
[ Especially after the whole... dress fiasco. ]
All I know is that it's a labyrinth, and at one point there was a carnival in the middle of it, though I never saw it for myself. [ He'd been too busy putting on women's clothing for that. ]
[Jayne (very unwisely) lingers long enough to take a long look at Morrigan and Kaine and her acrobatics.] Least we're here with mighty fine lookin company.
[He scowls and hoists Vera off his shoulder.] Well someone better figure a gorram way outta here. I ain't no good leadin people. [Startled look. Yeah, he didn't mean to say that.]
[Morrigan titled her head at the other woman's acrobatics, perhaps she saw something, although that was doubtful.]
Were you able to see anything? [At least one voice is familiar, and not someone she hates so hey, bonus points there.] Of course not, Garrett, you would be quite difficult to forget, after all not many men wear dresses. Except perhaps, Alistair.
[That is not something she wants to think about so she turns to Jayne and glares.]
You do not look like one who would be good at leading people, however, truth be told, neither am I. [She didn't want to say that either.] I know little of the Labyrinth besides what I have seen from flying above it. 'Tis a large maze that is ever changing.
[She glares at Edge, just because, and then at Jayne. He's got a gun like Jack, and this small fact pisses her off considerably.] What the fuck are you looking at?
He's a man with open tastes, that much is obvious. [He looks among all of them, crossing his arms and looking thoughtful.]
Okay, so, babe number one can't lead, and I don't think we should let the Kaine. [Speaking of Kaine, and then looking to Garrett.] But we should be moving. What about you? If you don't think you can do it, I know I can handle it.
I've no problem with leading. I've been doing it since my father passed, whether I wanted to or not. [ Oh he... Didn't mean to say that. Well, no matter. He glances to Edge and then to Morrigan. ] You might be surprised what I'm good at, Morrigan.
