Has anyone done a late drop before and gotten approved? I'm thinking about doing it for one of my classes this quarter, but I don't know if it'll be worth it since it seems unlikely it would get approved. Thanks.

are any of you familiar with the "wait list" done by the school? i recently added myself to the wait list a few days ago and saw that you can review your own comments/reasons for why you need the class. there's a section for "preference comment" and it shows what you wrote. I attended some friend's graduation yesterday, and for the most part they will be the last generation of UCSB students that I know and went to school with (I'm an '07 alumni). I was thinking of taking ENGL 10 (with Ghosh) to fulfill my Area A-2 writing. Has anyone ever taken it before? I'm curious because I've never taken/heard of a writing class with a lecture along with the section. What goes on in section?

i was wondering if anyone here is an eemb major and/or has taken some upper division eemb lab courses? i'm trying to decide what to take and usually i'd ask around or use ratemyprofessor.com, but seeing that these upper div courses there isn't much info about them.

i still have to take 2 lab courses for my major so i wanted some recommendations.

I'm considering living at Garden Court (I.V.) next year. I was wondering if anyone is living there or HAS lived there? And if you could tell me about your experiences. I'm also curious about how much the rent is since I would like to have a room to myself. Thanks!
