Beginning in Fall, the batch of students there will have completely cycled out from when I was there. During the ceremony and after I got pretty nostalgic of the great ( Read more... )

I went to college with people who started in 2003 and with people who will end in 2013... I can't put into words how weird of a notion that is

Yes I do so miss the glory days of UCSB. Haven't been back there since winter of 2009! Such a shame.

After graduating I moved to San Diego and got a job with an English language school, got promoted and relocated to NYC, where I live now. Saw someone with a UCSB shirt on in the sunway at Times Square and and "Gauchos!!!" -ed each other and high fived.

I was also in the class of 2007. Woohoo! It's strange how quickly time has passed...it's already been 3 years since graduation. Wow.

Right now I work on campus as a Staff member. I moved home for 1 year after graduating but really wanted to come back to SB. As it turns out, all my friends have since moved away and I don't know anyone anymore. It sucks.

Also, all these new students were born in the 90's! It makes me feel super old. Also- I wouldn't recommend that anyone work as a Staff member on campus after graduating. It really ruined my opinion of the campus. It would have been better to have happier memories as a student.
