My assignment: 'Translate the below extract from "Bereiste bunader". Imagine that you have been asked to translate the article for a magazine in America or Britain that carters for people who are interested in fashion and costume history, but are not necessarily experts.'
Here's the first piece of homework for my translation class. This is my first draft. The main assignment this first week is actually to answer some accompanying questions (regarding compound words), but whatever. Still doing a fair attempt at translating the full text as well. Every bit of practice helps 8]
You all have to send some positive thoughts my way from now on until tomorrow XD; I'm having my Dutch exam first thing in the morning and I feel like I know nothing at all. It's quite nerve wracking, and I'm not looking forward to this at all

I had a near panic attack about my upcoming human geography exam today @_@; What the christ. The whole subject is rather... vague. Incredibly interesting, but... vague.
