I had my third chemotherapy session last Friday, January 24.  This time I had a visit with my oncologist first, and I told her about the drug Benadryl causing me to have a restless leg syndrome reaction.  My oncologist changed that antihistamine to the drug Claritin instead.  It was an improvement.  While I was getting the infusion, my legs didn't ( Read more... )

Good to see you post again. And that your oncologist has found you a kinder drug too ! And that she's a female ! My partner's oncologist is a female, actually is a team females too, one of which he still visits for general check-ups, though he hasn't had any more treatments since the end of 2008 and that was strictly speaking not chemo or radio therapy, it was oxygen treatment in the hyperbaric chamber which is another specialization but she did approve of him getting that treatment so her cooperation was mandatory. Your 'newborn baby' hair that;'s blonde...after the chemo is done and out of your system, it'll be like a rebirth too I imagine ! Wishing you all the best.

Thank you. I'm looking forward to regrowing my hair. They say that it usually comes in a different texture and even color at first.

Every other patient there was offered sandwiches but me. They're playing games, but I don't know what the point of them is.

I originally bought the Benadryl for my mother's dog Patty, who gets hives from her yearly shots at the vet's office.

I don't understand why I'm treated differently than other patients at the hospital. I'm there to hopefully get well, not play any kind of games.
