I had my third chemotherapy session last Friday, January 24. This time I had a visit with my oncologist first, and I told her about the drug Benadryl causing me to have a restless leg syndrome reaction. My oncologist changed that antihistamine to the drug Claritin instead. It was an improvement. While I was getting the infusion, my legs didn't feel itchy and squirmy as they had in the past.
As far as the ongoing hospital lunch issue...this time I had a small paper container of ice cream (I'd guess about five ounces), and a tiny package of mini Lorna Doone cookies for my meal. Yes, that is all that I was given. Obviously, I'll have to bring my own food from now on.
