[Donatello sounds far more excited than anyone, including his brothers, have probably heard him sound in a while.]

Confirmed!

Two weeks of less-than-stellar interaction over the network - which, in this case, possibly means instigating a conversation yourself instead of only replying to others - equates to a penalty. A spray of water in this case; ( Read more... )

Mikey!

Well, after our arrival I heard people over the network talking about being sprayed with water as a penalty. I wanted to test this myself, mostly to see if there could be any use drawn from the water or if there was any potential threat.

I mean, of course the other passengers who had been sprayed were fine, but if this was a common occurence then it's completely natural that any threat from it would be seen as common as well and not mentioned.

Anyway, there was also plenty of other data to gather from this experience, such as quantity, duration, etc.

Isn't it great?

Being sprayed from a source that it should by no rights be able to be stored in much less projected from. It could be useful.

It's actually rather refreshing. No contact poisons or mind-altering substances to be found, really, at least not so far.

Funny. You'd think water'd short this thing out.

You would, but no one seems concerned about it potentially running out.

You've only recently arrived, haven't you? Have you heard about the caves yet?

Just arrived last night, actually. I'm Gippal. And caves really aren't my thing.

Hrm. Welcome, then, and pleased to meet you. I'm Donatello.

The caves are full of water. And carnivorous fish, but mostly water.

Donny, don't hurt yourself.

I'm not. It's completely harmless, I assure you.

I meant all the excitement. You could pull something.

It always hits you in the face...

Hm, really?

How often have you been hit, if you don't mind my asking? Assuming, of course, that you were penalized.

heavyweaponsbot January 31 2010, 09:38:33 UTC
Yeah.

Never. But others have... And I take pleasure in noticing some of them.

Interesting.

I suppose there isn't a much better way to gain attention than by spraying someone in the face. It certainly garners a response in most cases.

[Oh my God you huge nerd.] Is that the reason for your radio silence?

Reply

tic_tech_turtle January 31 2010, 19:41:21 UTC
Precisely.

Though, admittedly, I probably should have maintained that silence for a while longer. Then I would have known if it sprayed you more than one time or if there were other penalties for ignoring it. Hm.

You pick weird things to harp on, Donnie.

I'd like to think this warrants a description other than "weird". And it's not harping; it's talking out my hypothesis, conclusion, and discoverings in order to more firmly organize my thoughts on the matter.
